Help introduce Mosaic to the Buckeye community.
Before families can visit our campus or experience a Mosaic classroom, a community event may be their first meaningful interaction with our school. We want that experience to feel welcoming, organized, engaging, thoughtful, and distinctly Mosaic.
We’re looking for someone who sees what needs to happen, builds the plan, and takes ownership of creating community experiences that are thoughtfully planned, exceptionally executed, and meaningful to families.
The Opportunity

Much more than event-day support.

Community engagement is one of Mosaic’s primary strategies for building awareness, developing relationships with Buckeye families, and enrolling our founding scholars. You’ll coordinate Mosaic’s participation in community and citywide events, Mosaic-sponsored and Mosaic-produced events, and other grassroots outreach activities.
You’ll take substantial ownership of the complete event lifecycle — planning, registrations, logistics, supplies, staffing, transportation, setup, execution, teardown, inventory, lead capture, results tracking, and continuous improvement.
Mosaic already has an established brand, event concepts, activities, materials, and reusable assets. We need someone who can execute that foundation exceptionally, protect the brand, learn from results, and improve the experience over time.
What You’ll Do

The work itself.

Develop event plans, timelines, checklists, staffing plans, and readiness deadlines.
Complete registrations, reservations, applications, permits, and fee coordination on time.
Coordinate equipment, signage, activities, supplies, materials, staff, volunteers, and other event logistics.
Pick up, transport, set up, tear down, and properly return Mosaic event materials and equipment.
Maintain event inventory and identify repair, replacement, and replenishment needs.
Help identify community events, partnerships, locations, and grassroots outreach opportunities aligned with Mosaic’s enrollment strategy.
Ensure Mosaic’s event presence consistently reflects our established brand and family experience.
Coordinate event promotion and appropriate photography and documentation with Mosaic’s social media resources.
Track participation, prospective-family interest, results, feedback, and lessons learned.
Recommend improvements based on evidence and community response.
Enrollment

You’re also part of the enrollment team.

Events are an important part of how Mosaic meets families, builds trust, and enrolls scholars. You’ll engage prospective families, ensure accurate lead capture, and work closely with the Enrollment & Family Coordinator and the Founding Enrollment & Operations Manager to move interested families into Mosaic’s enrollment process.
When enrollment volume requires additional hands, you’ll also help with prospective-family calls, outreach, information sessions, follow-up, or other enrollment activities. At Mosaic, primary ownership does not eliminate shared responsibility.
Who Will Thrive Here

A hands-on operator and community connector.

You’ll thrive here if you:
Own details and follow work through to completion.
Think ahead and anticipate needs before they become urgent.
Can create the checklist — not wait for someone else to hand you one.
Stay calm and resourceful when plans change.
Are equally comfortable planning an event and rolling up your sleeves to execute it.
Understand that every public interaction shapes how families perceive Mosaic.
Use budgets, equipment, and reusable resources thoughtfully.
Measure results and bring observations, solutions, and recommendations to the team.
Work across traditional role boundaries when the team’s success requires it.
Mosaic’s culture is grounded in Unwavering Belief, Shared Responsibility, Intentional Community, Continuous Growth, and Purposeful Action.
What You’ll Bring

Required qualifications.

High school diploma required. Additional education, certification, or professional training in event management, hospitality, marketing, communications, business, or a related field is preferred.
At least three years of professional experience coordinating events, community programs, experiential marketing, nonprofit or community outreach, hospitality events, trade shows, school and community events, or comparable work.
Demonstrated experience meaningfully owning events from planning through execution — not solely participating as event staff.
Strong project-management, organizational, communication, and follow-through skills.
Ability to independently coordinate people, materials, deadlines, vendors, volunteers, and logistics.
Comfort using spreadsheets, calendars, and productivity and digital communication tools.
Reliable transportation and the ability to travel throughout Buckeye and the surrounding area.
Ability and willingness to participate in setup and teardown, transport and move event materials, work outdoors, and remain on-site for extended event periods — with reasonable accommodation as required by law.
Availability for all required Mosaic events, including evenings and weekends.
Especially valuable: experience with community outreach, enrollment, family engagement, event budgets, inventory and logistics, schools, or mission-driven organizations. English/Spanish bilingual capability and familiarity with Buckeye and the West Valley are highly desirable.
Location, Schedule & Compensation

$25–$30 per hour.

This position will average approximately 18 hours per week, with schedules varying based on Mosaic’s event calendar. Work combines independent planning with in-person meetings, event preparation, community outreach, and required evening and weekend events.
This is a highly community-based, hands-on position and should not be viewed as primarily remote. Residence in Buckeye or very near the community is strongly preferred.
Compensation is $25–$30 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. Mosaic anticipates offering employee benefits beginning January 2027; offerings and eligibility will vary based on employment status. This founding position is expected to continue through Mosaic’s August 2027 school opening, with the long-term structure evaluated as school operations begin.
