At Mosaic Learning Academy, we believe children should not have to choose between strong academics and a joyful, engaging school experience. They deserve both.

That is why we have designed Mosaic around a simple promise: every child will be known, challenged, and supported. Scholars receive intentional instruction in reading, writing, and mathematics while also having meaningful opportunities to explore, create, solve problems, collaborate, and apply what they are learning.

Learning at Mosaic is hands-on and connected to the world around our scholars, but the fundamentals are never left to chance. Our teachers teach essential knowledge and skills explicitly, pay close attention to each child’s growth, and work together to provide the support or challenge each scholar needs to keep moving forward.

Team Teaching

More than one teacher invested in your child.

At Mosaic, your child is not known by just one teacher.

Scholars learn in learning studios, where a team of educators shares responsibility for their learning, growth, and well-being.

Team teaching allows us to know children more deeply and respond more intentionally. When a scholar needs additional support, the team can respond early. When a scholar is ready for greater challenge, teachers can adjust instruction and provide opportunities to go deeper. And because educators plan and problem-solve together, no single teacher is expected to meet every child’s needs alone.

Our teams have dedicated time to plan, review scholar progress, and communicate about what each child needs next. The goal is simple: more adults who know your child, more opportunities for individualized support and challenge, and greater consistency in their learning experience.

Learning With Purpose

Learning that has purpose.

Children need strong knowledge and skills — and they also need opportunities to use what they know.

At Mosaic, project-based learning gives scholars meaningful opportunities to apply what they are learning to questions, problems, and challenges that connect across subjects and to the world around them. Scholars might investigate a question, design a solution, create something useful, or share what they have learned with others.

Projects are carefully designed and guided by teachers. Scholars are not expected to discover essential knowledge on their own. Teachers explicitly teach the reading, writing, mathematics, science, and other content scholars need, and then help them use that learning with increasing independence.

This approach allows children to do more than remember what they have learned. They learn to think deeply, make connections, solve problems, collaborate, revise their thinking, and communicate their ideas — while continuing to build the strong academic foundation they will need for what comes next.

A Day at Mosaic

What a day is designed to feel like.

Morning welcome — every scholar greeted by name and supported in beginning the day with a calm, predictable routine.

Focused learning blocks — intentional instruction in reading, writing, and math, with support and challenge based on what scholars need.

Hands-on learning and projects — opportunities to investigate, create, design, and apply learning in meaningful ways.

Movement, play, and wellness — time for children to move their bodies, build relationships, and recharge throughout the day.

Collaboration and community — opportunities to work with others, practice responsibility and kindness, and develop the habits of character that help a community thrive.

Independent work and reflection — time to build focus, think about what was learned, celebrate growth, and consider what comes next.

We take the time to understand who your child is — their strengths, interests, relationships, and where they are in their learning.

We hold high expectations while giving scholars opportunities to think deeply, stretch themselves, and continue growing from where they are.

Supported

Children do not have to struggle alone. When a scholar needs more time, a different approach, encouragement, or additional help, our team responds.

We care about academic growth, but we are also developing character, confidence, belonging, and the habits children need to thrive in school and beyond. Our goal is for every scholar to leave Mosaic knowing they are capable, valued, and prepared for what comes next.

Before We Open

Built with intention from the beginning.

Mosaic Learning Academy will open in Fall 2027, and we are using the time before opening to build thoughtfully and intentionally. Our academic model is grounded in research, strong curriculum and instructional practices, and a clear commitment to knowing how every scholar is growing.

Families are an important part of that work. Before our doors open, you will have opportunities to meet our team, experience the Mosaic model through community events, ask questions, and understand the choices we are making for children.

We believe trust is built through transparency, strong relationships, and doing what we say we will do.
