About saving a seat

Saving your seat is not a formal enrollment application or a guarantee of admission. It is your first step toward becoming a Mosaic family — it tells us you are seriously considering Mosaic, gives your family early access to enrollment updates, and makes sure you know exactly when applications open in January. If applications exceed available seats in a grade, Mosaic will hold a lottery before enrollment is completed.

Starting small gives us the space to build strong relationships with families, establish the routines and culture we want from the beginning, and make sure every child is truly known. As a founding family, you will have opportunities to meet our team, ask questions, and understand how Mosaic is being built before the first day of school.

Final enrollment capacity may adjust as our facility plans are finalized. What will not change is our commitment to beginning with the relationships, routines, and culture that help every scholar be known from day one.

Tuition-free and open to every eligible family.

Who can enroll?

Children entering Kindergarten, 1st grade or 2nd grade who meet Arizona eligibility requirements. Mosaic does not use an academic entrance exam for admission. Children seeking early kindergarten entry may need to complete an age eligibility assessment.

Is tuition required?

No. Mosaic is a tuition-free public charter school. There is no cost to apply.

What if applications exceed seats?

We hold a fair, random lottery in accordance with Mosaic’s enrollment policy.

Enrollment details

Arizona law requires charter schools to enroll eligible students who submit a timely application unless applications exceed available capacity. Admission may not be limited based on factors including ethnicity, national origin, gender, income level, disability, English proficiency, or athletic ability.

If timely applications exceed the seats available, Mosaic will hold a fair, random lottery in accordance with Mosaic’s enrollment policy and applicable Arizona and federal requirements. We’ll share the dates and process clearly with families before the lottery takes place.
